IGF awards finalists announced - Hotline Miami, Faster than Light up for Grand Prize

15th annual Independent Games Festival awards hosted on March 27

Hotline Miami and FTL: Faster Than Light have made the list of Grand Prize nominees in this year's 15th annual IGF (Independent Games Festival) awards.

The full list of finalists for the 2013 IGF awards have been confirmed today, with nearly 30 games making the cut, whittled down by some 200 'discipline-specific' indie experts - mostly indie developers themselves.

The final winners are to be announced at the awards event on March 27 in San Fransisco, coinciding with the start of this year's Game Developers Conference 2013 expo.

Alongside Hotline Miami and Faster Than Light, indie titles Cart Life, Little Inferno and Kentucky Route Zero are also in for chance of taking home the Seumas McNally Grand Prize, the winner of which will be awarded $30,000.

All IGF finalists will also be offered the opportunity for publication via Valve's Steam digital distribution service.
