Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2: 'No chance' of Wii U version

Nintendo system owners will have to make do with Mirror of Fate on 3DS

There's "no chance" of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 releasing on Wii U, according to series producer Dave Cox.

Responding to a fan enquiry about the possibility of the sequel launching on Nintendo's new console, Cox said on Twitter: "Sorry to disappoint you but no chance."

The original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow launched on Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2010. The sequel, which is set for release later this year, is in development at Madrid-based Mercury Steam for both console platforms as well PC.

The studio is also gearing up to release 3DS exclusive Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate in early March.

Yesterday, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli confirmed that Crysis 3 won't be releasing on Wii U either.
