Two HMV outlets in Limerick, Ireland, are host to staff sit-ins following news that the company has entered into receivership.
The Irish arm of the corporation closed doors only two days after its UK counterpart went into administration, leading to the closure of 16 outlets.
In response to the news, twelve employees fearing for their jobs hosted sit-ins in two separate branches in Limerick on Wednesday night, in a move aimed at clarifying whether their jobs were at stake, and whether they would receive their due wages.
Local reports also suggest that some members of the group claim they have not been paid.
Accountancy firm Deloitte is the receiver for both HMV Ireland and UK. In a statement overnight, Deloitte said "all efforts will be made by the receiver to secure a purchaser for the stores."
Some 300 jobs in Ireland are at risk.
