Yesterday, after an all-too-long period of silence, Grasshopper Manufacture finally gave us some concrete details on Killer is Dead, the latest game from the mind of Suda51.
Now screens from the part Killer7, part No More Heroes action game have appeared online. Unsurprisingly, it looks like it'll fit in snugly next to Suda's previous titles, in large part thanks to the gleaming cel-shaded art style and anime-inspired character design.
Killer is Dead continues Grasshopper's tradition of giving its protagonists stupidly brilliant names. Killer7's central character was called Harman Smith, while No More Heroes' otaku inspired main man went by the name 'Travis Touchdown'.
In Killer is Dead we've got 'Mondo Zappa', a cool cat in a business suit. His business? Executions. From what we know so far, it seems like gameplay is going to be centered around Zappa's arm, which can transform into a drill and absorb an enemy's blood for special attacks.
Suda has said that, although this game exists in the same universe as Killer7 and No More Heroes, it isn't a direct sequel to them. A little confusing since the blond-haired lady is the spitting image of Sylvia Christel from No More Heroes.
