Monster Hunter Tri servers to close

Focus to shift to Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

Capcom has announced that servers for Wii's Monster Hunter Tri will be closed on April 30.

The servers for Monster Hunter Tri will officially shut its doors on April 30, but Capcom has said "with the new title, there will be a new place for all of you to gather and hunt online with each other, and we hope you will continue to play together on Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate."

There will be a six week period after the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, where the servers for Monster Hunter Tri will still be live.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will launch for the Wii U and 3DS in March across the US, UK, Europe and Australia.
