Breakthrough as Skyrim DLC is set for PS3

Hearthfire, Dragonborn and Dawnguard all coming to Sony's console

The three existing add-on packs for Bethesda RPG Skyrim will finally arrive on PS3 by February, Sony has announced.

Previously exclusive to the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim, the add-on packs will be released across both PC and PS3. The specific release dates are not yet available, though all PS3 add-ons are set for February. The PC edition of Dragonborn is due February 5.

Sony said that each add-on will be discounted by 50 per cent during launch week.

The add-on packs for Skyrim - named as Hearthfire, Dragonborn and Dawnguard - have become subjects of controversy due to their elongated exclusivity period on Microsoft's Xbox 360 system.

"Over the last year, it's been a treat for us to work on new content for Skyrim, and we're excited that it will soon be available for everyone to explore," Bethesda said.
