Overnight news: Nintendo unveils new Mario games for Wii U; THQ properties sold off

Nintendo announced during their Direct conference overnight that two new Mario games will be playable at E3 this year, in the form of a "3D action game" and a new Kart installment. Meanwhile, the company also spoke about Smash Bros, Zelda Wii U and Bayonetta 2.

Elsewhere, the results of the THQ auction have come through, with South Park: Stick Of Truth going to Ubisoft and Homefront going to Crytek. All the results here.
