Best known for his sci-fi slow-burner Moon and techno-thriller Source Code, director Duncan Jones is ready to take World of Warcraft to the big screen.
Spider-Man director Sam Raimi was originally on board to helm the Warcraft movie, but after leaving to work on Oz, Jones reportedly jumped at the opportunity to take over.
Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni of Legendary Pictures will produce, alongside Blizzard and Atlas Entertainment's Charles Roven and Alex Gartner.
The script has been penned by Charles Leavitt, but Legendary is keeping it close to the vest, with work on the live-action adaptation of the videogame to start in the northern autumn of 2013, for a 2015 release.
