1991: Street Fighter II UK arcade flyer

Every time a new arcade game is created, its manufacturer sends promotional flyers to every arcade in the land in the hope that the arcade owner will be impressed enough to order it in.

This is the flyer Capcom sent to arcade owners in the UK to promote Street Fighter II. The original Street Fighter wasn't exactly the most popular game in UK arcades, but the likes of Final Fight, 1943 and Bionic Commando meant Capcom's name was still well-known by arcade owners.

As such, many arcade owners ordered Street Fighter II based solely on Capcom's previous reputation. Little did they know it would completely reinvent the fighting genre and become one of the most popular arcade games of all time.
