Borderlands 2 sales near six million

Gearbox shooter continues storming success

Take-Two Interactive has said Borderlands 2 sales near the six million milestone.

That's up around a million copies since the company reported around five million sales tallied by the end of October 2012, when it called called the Gearbox-developed shooter "one of the most successful releases in 2K's history".

The title was also credited as a significant contributor to Take-Two's reported 244 per cent rise year-on-year in revenues generated from digitally delivered content in its fiscal Q3 2013.

2K Games has recently confirmed plans to release the Borderlands 2: Add-On Content Pack at retail. It will feature previously released DLC expansions Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty and Mr.Torgue's Campaign of Carnage.
