GamesAid announces UK comedy fundraiser

Games charity sets up Comedy Store gig for April 15

UK games charity GamesAid is organising a new fundraiser for 2013.

The very first Stand Up for GamesAid, a live comedy show is set for Monday April 15 and will be hosted at famous stand-up venue The Comedy Store in London.

A strong line up of British and international comedy talent is promised for the event, with the evening hosted by former games industry man Imran Yusuf (Best Newcomer nominee at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2010) who's also appeared on The Now Show, The News Quiz and Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow.

The evening will also feature Paul McAffery (Russell Howard's Good News) Jason Patterson (Laughter Shock, Kojo's Comedy Funhouse), UK improv troop The Noise Next Door, Comedy Store regular Paul Thorne, comedian and musician Kev Orkian and Fosters Edinburgh award winner The Boy With Tape On His Face.

Rounding off the evening will be "a very special headline guest" who will be announced closer to the date.

Tickets cost just £10 (+£2.50 booking fee) with concessions for students and nurses at £8 (+£1 booking fee) and are likely to be limited so book now to secure yours.
