Watch Dogs multiplayer will be 'all the time and anywhere'

Ubisoft makes a case for 'hyperconnectivity'

The online component of Watch Dogs will factor into both the multiplayer and single player aspects of the game, according to Ubisoft.

Watch Dogs creative director Jonathan Morin uses the word 'hyperconnectivity' to describe how the title will integrate social and online elements into its play.

"Watch Dogs is all about hyperconnectivity. To me, that has to mean all the time and anywhere. So yes, other people are out there all the time, when you don't expect it. Whether you're playing single-player or multiplayer it's happening," Morin told Kotaku.

Morin emphasised the real-time nature of the online functionality, which will factor into the single player campaign.

Watch Dogs was confirmed as a PS4 launch title last week, along with a new gameplay video.
