Beyond Two Souls: October release date confirmed

Launch window for Quantic Dream's PS3 exclusive narrowed down

Sony has confirmed a Beyond: Two Souls release date of October 8, 2013 in North America and October in Europe.

The platform holder has also announced that Willem Dafoe (Platoon, Spider-Man) has joined the cast of Quantic Dream's PS3 exclusive. He'll star in a supporting role alongside lead actress Ellen Page (Juno, Inception).

David Cage, Beyond's writer and director, told CVG in a new interview that he loved pairing a veteran actor in Dafoe with young actress Page, revealing that their eventual confrontations in the game's pivotal scenes "really blew me away".

Additionally, Sony's US arm said that everyone who pre-orders the game at GameStop (or EB games in Canada) will receive exclusive DLC in the form of a 30-minute playable scene. And while supplies last, everyone who pre-orders will also receive a free upgrade to the special edition of the game, which includes:

  • Exclusive Steelbook Premium Packaging
  • Extensive Behind The Scenes Video Features
  • Soundtrack
  • PS3 Dynamic Theme
  • PSN Avatar Bundle
