After several years of silence and inaction, the initial promise of Jerry Bruckheimer's game business has fizzled out completely as the studio was confirmed to be closed over the weekend.
Jerry Bruckheimer Games, which was headed up by Halo 3 producer Jim Veevaert and former Ubisoft executive Jay Cohen, has now officially shut down without a single game release or project announcement.
Veevaert moved to Zynga in 2011, while Cohen walked out of the company in April last year.
Bruckheimer, who has produced a range of TV shows and movies from CSI to Pirates of the Caribbean, has not stated why his games business fell through.
A representative told Gamespot that "Jerry Bruckheimer Games is no longer active".
