Warner Bros. Interactive has released a new trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us, the DC Comics fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios.
The trailer gives us insight into Lex Luthor's role in the events of Injustice.
As with the last Mortal Kombat, NetherRealm is placing a heavy focus on storytelling. Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, the creative team responsible the highly-regarded Jonah Hex comic series, serve as consultants on the game's story.
The game takes place in Metropolis when, following the death Lois Lane, his unborn child and his friend Jimmy Olsen, Superman creates a new world order, splitting allegiances between the Man of Steel and Batman. Lex is one of the many characters caught in the middle of the war.
Warner has confirmed Injustice: Gods Among Us release date as April 16 in the US and April 19 in Europe.
We recently went hands-on with the single-player portion of the superpowered beat 'em up. Check out what we thought of it in this Injustice Gods Among Us preview published last week.
