1995 - Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins intro and ending

In order to promote the live-action Mortal Kombat movie, a 30-minuted animated movie called The Journey Begins was released on VHS. Unfortunately, it's memorable for being one of the worst Mortal Kombat-related releases ever.

This was down to a number of factors - the horrible 2D animation, the even worse CGI animation, the ridiculous dialogue, you name it - but on the bright side, it did have a cheat code for Mortal Kombat 3 during the end credits, and a 15-minute documentary on the making of the live-action film.

If you're a glutton for punishment and are really desperate to see the whole thing, you can either be dodgy and find it on YouTube, or get the Mortal Kombat Blu-Ray, where the full 30-minute cartoon is provided as a special feature.
