PS4 reveal is most watched YouTube ad in February

Sony's PS4 spot viewed twice as many times as the biggest Super Bowl ad

A YouTube advert linking to Sony's PlayStation Meeting press conference in New York has been named as the most watched commercial on the video website for February.


The PS4 'Be the First to Know' advert, arranged by agency Deutsch Inc, was clicked on about 26.3 million times, nearly double that of the most popular Super Bowl spot.

These statistics are suggestive of the relevance of both video games and the PlayStation brand in 2013, but also how manufacturers and publishers are turning attentions to a wider range of media to promote their products.

Sony revealed the PS4 last month and confirmed a PS4 release date of "holiday 2013" in at least one of Japan, Europe and the US.
