BioShock Infinite's promised '1999 Mode' makes the critically adored shooter more difficult than a lot of modern gamers will tolerate.
So it makes sense that BioShock Infinite's hardcore mode can be unlocked using a cheat code that a lot of old school fans will recognise immediately.
While the mode is usually locked until the player has completed the campaign once, those wanting a hardcore experience straight off the bat can simply enter the fabled Konami code.
That's right: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A.
There are variations according to the platform: the code above works for the Xbox 360, but on PS3 you'll need to enter O and X in place of B and A. On PC, the Cancel and Confirm keys will replace B and A.
What other codes do you know off the top of your head? IDDQD comes immediately to mind, and would compliment 1999 Mode quite well...
