Miiverse producer Kiyoshi Mizuki has confirmed the browser and mobile version of Nintendo's social network will launch in May.
In a GDC session covered by Polygon, Mizuki said the initial release will provide basic functionality such as commenting, drawing, and interacting with communities.
Mizuki also revealed that a 3DS version of Miiverse is in development at Nintendo, but didn't specify when it will be released. He indicated that, unlike with Wii U games, Miiverse support for 3DS titles may not be mandatory.
Company president Satoru Iwata announced upcoming browser and smartphone support for Miiverse during a Nintendo Direct press conference in January.
