Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition confirmed for Australian retail release

May 1 onsale date for previously banned title

Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition will finally reach Australian retailers next month, following its banning under the previous age classification guidelines.

Initially refused classification in Australia upon its original 2011 release, the game has been given a second wind thanks to the introduction of the R18+ classification in January.

The Komplete Edition will release for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 1 for $39.95. It features all post-launch DLC for the title.

The first retail game to be rated R18+ was Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge for Wii U.
