Ubisoft has released ShootMania Storm worldwide on ShootMania.com, Steam and other digital retailers.
Created by Ubisoft Nadeo, the studio behind insane racing game TrackMania, the multiplayer FPS places a heavy focus on community created content including user made maps, game modes, graphic assets and videos. Players can also create and manage their own teams and tournaments.
Priced at £15.99, the game was originally due to launch in January, but was delayed to April and launched in open beta in February. Ubisoft says hundreds of thousands of players have since created close to 40.000 maps, plus dozens of custom game modes.
Nadeo has also opened new creation tools allowing players to make their own 3D characters or environments.
Geoffroy Sardin, EMEA VP of sales and marketing at Ubisoft, said: "We are really excited to launch ShootMania Storm. The game has something for everyone from FPS gamers to pro competitors, as well as community tools to stream out to Twitch or make your own customised modes and maps."
