Microsoft is in talks to resurrect NBC superhero drama Heroes via original programming on Xbox, according to a TVLine report.
Talks are said to be in the preliminary stages, with the pitch being to relaunch the series with new stories and characters, while introducing cameos from the show's original cast.
Earlier this month Microsoft announced the sale of its IPTV service in order to dedicate "all TV resources to Xbox in a continued mission to make it the premium entertainment service."
"We will partner with content creators, studios, labels, networks, content aggregators, operators and distributors to make this happen," said Microsoft's Yusuf Mehdi.
"We believe the future of home entertainment is one where TV becomes more simple, tailored and intelligent."
Heroes ran for four seasons on NBC between 2006 and 2010.
