While it's not unexpected news, given that the Crysis studio revealed the game as a Kinect title with an intriguing concept trailer at E3 2011, we're finally set to get a fresh look at Ryse at E3 next month, according to a countdown timer on the firm's website.
"Son came to Rome 2013," the site says in Latin. "Exclusively for Xbox One. Controller-based gameplay enhanced by Kinect."
Every Xbox One unit will ship with a next-gen Kinect sensor. Marc Whitten, Microsoft's corporate vice president of Xbox Live, said last night that the new device "understands the slightest rotation of wrist, shift balance, transfer of motion, and when you're exercising it can read your heartbeat".
Ryse hasn't been shown since its initial unveiling two years ago, when a trailer revealed that it'll be set in ancient Rome and feature brutal first-person combat. However, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli told us last year that it's one of his "personal darlings so it's going to be rock-solid and strong".
