Sony has released a new Killzone Shadow Fall developer diary.
The latest entry in Sony's 'Conversations with creators' video series goes behind the scenes with Guerrilla Games, creator of PlayStation's flagship FPS series, to discuss the upcoming game and the studio's experience of working with PS4. According to the official blurb:
Our team at Guerrilla Games has the unique opportunity to develop Killzone: Shadow Fall, a new installment in the award-winning shooter series, as a launch title for PS4.In the latest installment of Conversations with Creators, we discuss exactly what that entails, and-more importantly-the ways in which the PS4's potency and tremendous ease of development have dramatically expanded the kinds of creative possibilities and interactive experiences we can bring to our fans.
Shadow Fall takes places in the near future, when mankind has colonised planets in search of resources and a battle rages between two factions, the people of Helghan and those of Vektar.
According to Guerrilla managing director Hermen Hulst: "The story draws parallels to Cold War Berlin, with two factions living side by side divided by a vast wall. This is a story about the loss of home, the search of new home, and the lengths to which people go to defend it."
CVG recently reported that Sony has determined Europe a high-priority territory in the next generation sales race and will ensure the PS4 launch is not delayed into 2014.
