Infinity Ward executive producer Mark Rubin has given the strongest indication yet that Call of Duty: Ghosts is in development for Wii U.
While Activision has yet to officially confirm a version of the game for Nintendo's console, Rubin suggested in an E3 interview that it's only a matter of time.
Asked for a rundown of Call of Duty: Ghosts target platforms and release dates, he told GameSpot: "Right now, we've only announced current-gen and PC as being November 5."
Pressed on whether Wii U is included under that umbrella or whether it's in "the next-gen bin", Rubin said: "It's probably in the next-gen bin, but we're not actually talking about Wii U yet because we want to keep it mysterious. It's PR guys, it's not my fault."
He also said that Ghosts will be available as a launch day title for Xbox One and PS4.
Infinity Ward showed off a load of new Call of Duty: Ghosts gameplay footage during a special half-hour showcase on Sunday,
We said in our first Call of Duty: Ghosts preview: "Despite minor alterations to the formula, Call of Duty: Ghosts is exactly what it sets out to be - a tried and trusted template, rounded off to perfection with the help of some next-gen grunt."
