Nintendo has released a Miiverse update introducing a number of much-requested features.
By popular demand character limit for posts and comments on Miiverse has been increased from from 100 characters to 200 characters, Nintendo says. Additionally, older posts are now visible when filtering by popularity.
"Up until now, when filtering for popular posts, you could only see posts created recently, within a certain time frame," explains a post on the Miiverse website. "Now you can see older popular posts as well."
In April Nintendo launched the Miiverse social network for PC and mobile. The initial version of the web-based Miiverse provides basic functionality such as commenting, drawing, and interacting with communities.
Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata has confirmed the company is planning to make Miiverse available on Nintendo 3DS this year.
"We are also planning to make available a system update for Nintendo 3DS to allow its users to view and post content on Miiverse on the system within this year," he said.
"This will facilitate user communication about Nintendo 3DS games and help users enjoy them more deeply. At the same time, the more people take advantage of Miiverse, the more deeply and correctly they will understand the charm of the other platform, Wii U."
