Telltale Games has confirmed that The Walking Dead - 400 Days will be released this week.
The new downloadable episode will arrive on the US PlayStation Store tomorrow, July 2, followed by global launches via Steam on July 3 and Xbox Live on July 5, Telltale confirmed to IGN.
EU PS3 owners will have to wait until July 10 for their helping, and the episode hits global iOS App Stores on Jul 11.
400 Days is an all-new episode that serves as a bridge between Season 1 and the upcoming Season 2 of the critically acclaimed title.
It tells the story of five separate (and new) characters, each linked to each other, spanning the first 400 days of the zombie apocalypse.
The episode is an expansion which requires the first season of The Walking Dead to work, and will cost $4.99 or "the equivalent".
In the words of the developer:
"Centered on a truck stop on a Georgia highway, The Walking Dead - 400 Days is a DLC episode for Season One of Telltale's award-winning game series. 400 Days tells five linked stories; each taking place at different points in time and from the point of view of a different survivor, from day one of the undead apocalypse to day 400.
"The five stories can be played in any order and will change based on the choices that you make. Echoes of the choices you made in Season 1 will carry over into 400 Days and the choices you make in 400 Days will resonate into Season 2."
