It's only taken them three weeks, but Bungie has finally released a high resolution version of the Destiny gameplay reveal video which debuted at E3.
The video was originally shown during Sony's E3 press conference on June 10, and all versions of it since then have been poor-quality live stream recordings.
The video shows two players meet up outside a walled-off outpost in 'old Russia', before heading in to encounter enemies and navigate dark industrial environments - now viewable in direct-feed 1080p.
The footage was released as part of the studio's annual 'Bungie Week', throughout which it promises to deliver more Destiny-related 'goodies'.
"Each year, on the seventh day of the seventh month, we take a moment to thank the members of our community for their passion and enthusiasm for our games. We'll be releasing Destiny goodies all week long, and you're invited to the party," it said.
Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg says has said the new shooter is "probably one of the biggest investments in a new IP that's ever been made in this industry".
The Destiny release date has been pencilled in for 'early 2014' on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
