Deus Ex: The Fall launches July 11

Game hitting iOS devices this Thursday, priced at £5

Square Enix has announced a Deus Ex: The Fall release date of July 11.

Priced at £4.99/€5.99/$6.99, the mobile title is compatible with iPad 2 and above, iPhone 4S and above, and iPod Touch 5 and above.

Announced last month as the "first instalment" of the "mobile series", The Fall is story-driven action RPG developed by Square Enix's Mobile division in Europe, in collaboration with the Deus Ex: Human Revolution team at Eidos Montréal and N-Fusion.

The Fall includes characters previously featured in the Random House published novel Deus Ex: The Icarus Effect, and picks up from where the book finishes.

According to the official blurb: "Deus Ex: The Fall is set in 2027- a golden era for science, technology and human augmentation, but also a time of great social divide and global conspiracy. Powerful corporations have seized control from governments and command the drug supply needed by augmented humans to survive.

"In this chaos Ben Saxon, a former British SAS Mercenary who underwent physical augmentation, is desperate for the truth behind the drug conspiracy. Betrayed by his private military employers, the Tyrants, not only is his own life at risk but for all augmented humans, time is running out."

Square Enix says The Fall picked up seven "Best Mobile/iOS Game" awards at E3 2013. For more on the title, check out the first Deus Ex: The Fall gameplay trailer.
