Nintendo has released platforming classic Super Mario Bros. 2 as a Virtual Console title for 3DS.
Additionally, the platform holder has announced that the game's sequel, Super Mario Bros. 3, will launch on eShop for both Wii U and 3DS later this year.
Nintendo made multiple Wii U and 3DS announcements yesterday during a Nintendo Direct broadcast hosted by global president Satoru Iwata and European boss Satoru Shibata.
Highlights included release dates for Zelda: Wind Waker HD and Sonic Lost World, plus the release of Animal Crossing Plaza on Wii U and confirmation that Luigi will appear in the new Smash Bros. game. Check out all the announcements or view the entire presentation here.
