According to a new infographic released by Activision, Call of Duty has been played for 25 billion hours since the release of the first Modern Warfare installment.
That means Call of Duty has been played for a total of 2.85 million years, which is longer than "the entirety of human existence".
That's only one of a long list of startling statistics regarding the series: apparently the total number of people that have played a Call of Duty game exceeds 100 million, which is bigger than some of Europe's most populated countries.
Elsewhere, 32,300,000,000,000,000 shots have been fired and 31 billion care packages have been delivered, which is enough to build the Great Pyramid of Giza 15,000 times over, according to Activision.
So, is Call of Duty in decline? Not by a margin that actually matters.
