Halo 4 Game of the Year edition details leaked

Update: Microsoft confirms

Halo 4 will get the Game of the Year treatment, if a newly leaked image is legitimate.

Update: Microsoft has confirmed the Halo 4 Game of the Year edition with the following statement provided to IGN:

"A Game of the Year Edition of Halo 4 will be offered this October, offering tremendous value for fans who want to enjoy one of the most critically acclaimed games of 2012, and additional DLC all in one place. We will have more details to share during the live stream of the Halo Global Championship Finals this Sunday."

An image detailing a Halo 4 reissue has been leaked to IGN, pointing to an October release.

According to the image, the reissue will bundle the original game with all DLC including Spartan Ops Season 1, the War Games map pass, the Champions Bundle, as well as all pre-order and LCE exclusive content.

The most recent DLC drop, the Champions Bundle, featured three new content packs including the Bullseye Pack, Steel Skin Pack and Infinity Armor Pack. These featured new multiplayer maps and armor, among other new items.

Microsoft confirmed at E3 2013 that an Xbox One Halo game will be incoming, though provided no details beyond a teaser video.

Meanwhile, Halo 4 developer 343 Industries posted a job ad in June for a Multiplayer Designer to "shape the future of the Halo franchise".

Halo 4 originally released in November 2012. In our review we described it as "a visually-stunning reprise of classic Halo moments".
