Microsoft teases 'surprise games' at PAX this weekend

Ryse, Forza 5, Killer Instinct and more will be playable at the event

Microsoft has detailed its Xbox One software line-up for this weekend's PAX Prime in Seattle, where the company intends to show off some "surprise" games, according to Major Nelson, director of programming for Xbox Live.

Ryse: Son of Rome, Forza Motorsport 5, Killer Instinct and Battlefield 4 will be playable at 60 demo stations.

Microsoft will also have a separate stage at the Seattle event, offering rotating 30-minute demos of Project Spark (pictured), Dead Rising 3, Kinect Sports Rivals and Fable Anniversary.

Major Nelson also teased in a post on his blog: "And of course there will be other surprises at the booth, including games that I'm not at liberty to divulge . . . yet."

PAX Prime runs from this Friday, August 30 until Monday, September 2.

UK retailer GAME said over the weekend that it's no longer taking Xbox One Day One Edition pre-orders, informing consumers: "The standard edition console is still available to order, although we can no longer guarantee you will receive yours on launch day."

Xbox One will launch in 13 markets this November. The Xbox One price has been set at £430 / €500 / $500.
