Microsoft Stores will allow gamers to trade in select Xbox 360 titles for their Xbox One equivalents for $10, the platform holder has announced.
Similarly to Sony's and retailer GAME's cross-gen upgrade initiatives, the promotion will make it easier for gamers to make the transition from current to next-gen without having to hold out on big Xbox 360 releases.
Games included in the promotion are: Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25, Need for Speed Rivals, Call of Duty: Ghosts, NBA 2K14, FIFA 14 and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
Gamers who buy any of those games for Xbox 360 from the Microsoft Store, retail or online, will be able to return the game to a Microsoft Store retail outlet along with a fee of $10 for a copy of the Xbox One equivalent.
Microsoft has confirmed an Xbox One release date of November 22.
