Respawn has warned that any web pages claiming to be offering the chance to beta test Titanfall are scams.
The studio took to Twitter to advise fans not to provide any personal details to sites pretending to offer testing opportunities for the highly anticipated shooter.
To help keep our fans safe from scammers, please note that all sites advertising Beta access are 100% scams. #BePCSafe #Titanfall— Titanfall (@Titanfallgame) September 3, 2013
Titanfall is the multiplayer-focused debut project from Respawn, the studio which was co-founded in 2010 by Jason West and Vince Zampella - former co-creators of the Call of Duty franchise.
The sci-fi shooter was officially announced at E3 in July. It went on to be named Best of Show at the E3 Game Critics Awards.
It was publicly playable for the first time at Gamescom in August. CVG said in a recent Titanfall preview: "Mixing daring acrobatics with disciplined FPS play is a wondrous, free-flowing merger of two genres. This is wire-fu warfare. This is how much fun we would have had if Soap and co entered The Matrix."
Titanfall is set for release next spring on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
