See all the offers and find out the cheapest place to buy the game

In case you hadn't noticed, we're mere days away from the release of Grand Theft Auto 5.

For those in the UK that haven't already put down cash down for a copy of the latest entry in Rockstar's block, earth and universe-busting open-world action game (yes, we're told these people actually exist) we've had a quick run around the internet and grabbed all the best prices.

So, before you hit the buy button or make a beeline for your brick and mortar video game retailer of choice, cast an eye over the list below.

First up is ShopTo, which has the standard edition of Grand Theft Auto 5 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for £42.85.

Zavvi, meanwhile, has standard edition priced at £39.98, but is being undercut by Asda which has the game listed a penny cheaper at £39.97; pennies make pounds.

If you pick up your groceries at Tesco, you can save £5 on a wide selection of titles when you spend over £35 using code TD-GL4Q. Amongst the selection is GTA 5 on Xbox 360 and PS3. Purchased on its own GTA 5 will cost you £39.99 at Tesco.

Specialist retailer GAME has the standard edition of GTA 5 for £40.99.

A GAME exclusive special edition is also available for £59.99, it contains:

  • Collectable Steelbook with Exclusive Artwork: This special Steelbook features double-sided, never-before-seen artwork of Michael, Trevor and Franklin. Custom colour and metallic treatments bring out the detail of the exclusively-created artwork.
Blueprint Map - This exclusive, additional 21.5" x 26.75" map displays a blueprint view of Los Santos and Blaine County. Cryptic markings indicate locations for fast cash and other points of interest for the up-and-coming entrepeneur.
    Digital Content:
  • Stunt Plane Trials: Take in Los Santos and Blaine County at breakneck speeds in the Grand Theft Auto V Stunt Plane Trials. In five thrilling and unique challenges, you'll zip through mountains, deserts, oceans, and cities as you navigate through a maze of checkpoints, each placed to push your Stunt Plane to the limit. Completing each Trial will improve the piloting skill of your character. Compare your times with friends and vie for the top spot on the leaderboard.
  • Special Ability Boost: Michael, Franklin and Trevor each have their own unique Special Ability, which can be activated once each of them fills up the Special Ability bar based on various actions. Michael is an expert marksman - his Special Ability slows down time in a gunfight allowing him to pick off his targets with greater ease. Franklin is a skilled driver with sharp reflexes - his Special Ability lets him slow down time while driving any road-based vehicle, allowing him to quickly navigate through traffic with ease and take corners at high speeds. Trevor is a drug-addled sociopath with a short fuse - his Special Ability sends him into a rage, causing double damage to enemies while only taking half as much damage himself when hit. With the boost that's included in both the Special and Collector's Editions, the Special Ability bar will generate 25% faster.
Bonus Outfits, Tattoos and More - When visiting any shops around Los Santos and Blaine County, Michael, Franklin and Trevor will receive a special 20% discount along with access to special items either in their personal wardrobes or from stores. Each character will receive 1 outfit each, one additional article of clothing (shirt, hoodie and jacket) each and a tattoo.
  • Additional Weapons: Your local Ammu-Nation will always be stocked with a pair of special firearms at no additional cost that also have their own unique customization options, skins and attachments - the .50 Caliber Pistol and the Bullpup Shotgun. You'll also have access to the Hammer, which acts as a brutal melee weapon.

Preorders at GAME are rewarded with access to the Atomic Blimp in-game vehicle.
