Bungie has released a fresh batch of Destiny artwork focused on some of the weaponry you'll find in the game.
Below you'll find images of sniper rifle Closing Time, rocket launcher Gjallarhorn, pulse rifle Red Death, hand cannon Duke MK.44 and heavy machine gun Thunderlord.
In the latest Destiny podcast, Bungie art lead Tom Doyle and others discuss where they drew inspiration from when designing the weapons in the game and the title's three-weapon system.
Doyle says: "We're trying to tell a much larger story and a much richer fiction... the weapons are the first thing you see, they're the things that are some of the most persistent forms of artwork in the game and therefore one of the loudest channels to tell those stories in Destiny.
"Instead of finding some freshly minted weapon out of a case, you're finding these things out in the world... it's kind of a metaphor with what the overall arc of Destiny is, which is reclaiming what was yours."
Set for release in 2014 on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One, Destiny is Bungie's first game since it parted ways with Microsoft and the Halo franchise it created.
Players take the role of a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth, fighting mysterious alien foes on Earth and beyond in a bid to reclaim mankind's lost territory. Check out a high resolution version of the Destiny gameplay reveal video which debuted at E3 in June.
