Costume Quest hits iOS App Store

Apple device owners treated to Tim Schafer Halloween adventure

XBLA and PSN game Costume Quest has been released for iOS devices via the iTunes App Store.

Brainchild of Double Fine's lead animator, Tasha Harris and Psychonauts developer Tim Schafer, it's a cutesy, but equally darkly humoured adventure set on Halloween night.

You star as one of two twins: Wren and Reynold, who have embarked on a night of trick-or-treating. But, when your sibling is kidnapped by monsters called Grubbins, you and your arsenal of costumes set out to rescue them.

The game has you go trick-or-treating around your neighbourhood to find clues, fight monsters and complete mini-quests (such as card trading, apple bobbing and playing hide-and-seek).

In our Costume Quest review we praised the game for its unique charm and humor, but docked points for its short length and poor balance in places. It scored 7.7/10.

The iOS version costs $4.99 and can be downloaded here.
