Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls will be playable on PS4 at BlizzCon 2013, Blizzard has confirmed.
Set to appear alongside the PC version, this will mark the public debut of the game playable on Sony's next-gen hardware.
Attendees will be among the first to sample the game's new DualShock 4 controls, which Blizzard says feature "all-new social features and touchpad technology designed to help keep heroes on focused on what they do best: killing monsters".
The demos on offer will consist of single-player and same-screen co-op trials, and will let players "explore the haunted streets of Westmarch as one of five original classes, or test their mettle as the unyielding Crusader," explains Blizzard.
Reaper of Souls is the name of the first Diablo 3 expansion set, planned for release in 2014 on PC and console versions of the game. It is yet to be confirmed whether the expansion will be included with Diablo 3 on PS4, which is also due for an unspecific launch next year.
BlizzCon 2013 takes place on Friday, November 8 and Saturday, November 9 at the Anaheim Convention Center, California. Tickets and show information is here. And the event will be covered live online here, for a fee of $39.99.
