Wii Party U release helps boost Wii U sales in Japan

While Pokemon X & Y holds the No.1 spot on the weekly software chart

The Japanese release of Wii Party U helped drive a massive jump in Wii U hardware sales during the week ended November 3.

The game debuted at No.6 on the software chart, while Wii U hardware sales leapt from 2,600 units to 38,800, second only to 3DS, according to Media Create data republished on NeoGAF.
