Naughty Dog has revealed a new entry in the Uncharted series is in development for the PlayStation 4.
A teaser for the game was shown during Spike TV's PlayStation 4 launch event, during which Naughty Dog co-founder Evan Wells and co-president Christophe Balestra introduced the title.
The short video showed a map, with the voice of an unknown character promising to take revenge for being "lost for 15 years" and left "rotting in a hell hole".
Although both Wells and Balestra didn't offer any further detail, they said the studio is continuing the series' story driven tradition and has made "a big jump" in visual quality.
"Amy [Hennig, writer of the Uncharted series], Justin [Richmond, game director of Uncharted 3], and the team are hard at work on an amazing new installment of the Uncharted series to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 system," Naughty Dog said in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
"Our goal is to continue what we've done in previous console generations and once again deliver the best in storytelling, performance capture, technical innovation and graphics on the PS4. We can confirm that the voiceover is performed by Todd Stashwick and he will play a character in the game."
