Vita buyers offered free month of PlayStation Plus in Europe

Promotion running from now until the end of 2013

European consumers who buy a Vita between now and the end of the year will be offered a month-long subscription to PlayStation Plus free of charge.

Buyers will need to link their new Vita to a Sony Entertainment Network account by December 31 in order to receive a PlayStation Plus access code.

Existing PS Plus subscribers will have an additional month added to their current membership.

The highlight feature of PS Plus is Instant Game Collection, which offers subscribers access to a rolling selection of top-rated (Metacritic rating of 70+) games free of charge.

Vita titles featured in the next European PS Plus update are Guacamelee, Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed and Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories.

Other PS Plus features include cloud storage, regular discounts on full titles and game add-ons, and exclusive or first access to betas and demos.

Due to local legal restrictions, the free month of PS Plus promotion won't be running in all PAL territories. See here for a list of eligible countries.

Sony will release multiple Tearaway Vita hardware bundles alongside the Media Molecule game this Friday, November 22.
