PSN now allows content activation on three portables

PlayStation 3 and 4 unaffected by Sony policy chages

Sony will now allow its users to tie up to three portable devices to their PlayStation Network account, in addition to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.

The move is particularly relevant for Japan, where consumers currently have the option to access their PSN account through PSP, PS Vita, and the newly released PS VIta TV (which launched on November 14).

PlayStation fans across Europe and the US have shown a clear interest in a western release for PS Vita TV - something which Sony has said it will consider - and these universal changes to PSN accounts could pave the way for such a move.

The company stated on its official PlayStation website: "SCE will change the number of portable devices that can be activated on one Sony Entertainment Network account. Portable devices include PSP, PS Vita and PlayStation Vita TV".

A step-by-step guide on how to activate and deactivate devices is available on the PlayStation website. Alternatively, watch the video below.
