Bohemia Interactive will release the second chapter of Arma 3's campaign as free DLC on January 21, 2014.
Titled Adapt, the DLC will follow on from the events of the first chapter, which saw players stepping into the boots of Ben Kerry, a soldier on a NATO peacekeeping mission in the Mediterranean gone wrong.
Arma 3 playable content lead Jaroslav Kasny said: "While the first part of the campaign focused on the basics of infantry combat, this second 'Adapt' episode plays with the other cool features of Arma 3's sandbox.
"Players will find more open and unorthodox scenarios, and with the help of guerrilla warfare, set out to defeat a much stronger enemy."
In August, Bohemia announced that Arma 3 would launch in September without its single player campaign, which is set to be released across three free DLC episodes.
On Wednesday December 11, Bohemia will release Adapt's new sandbox content via an automatic update on Steam. Included in the package will be three additional vehicles (Wy-55 Hellcat helicopter, FV-720 Mora IFV, MBT-52 tank), plus black versions of the MX rifle family, infra-red grenades and the LRPS sniper scope.
