This footage was shown as part of Nintendo's latest Nintendo Direct Broadcast aired Wednesday, during which it also revealed new trailers for Super Smash Bros Wii U and Mario Kart 8, and a new Zelda/Dynasty Warriors mash-up.

Chibi-Robo's last outing was an adventure game on GameCube released in 2006. The game was later ported to Wii for a Japan-only release in 2009, with updated Wii Remote controls.

Chibi-Robo Photo Finder will be released on 3DS on January 9 in US.
