Dead Rising 3 DLC delayed to January

Operation Broken Eagle pushed back for extra polish and testing

Capcom has delayed the release of Dead Rising 3 DLC pack Operation Broken Eagle.

Originally scheduled to hit Xbox One on December 24, the first Dead Rising 3 DLC pack will now be released on January 21.

Capcom said in a statement issued to Joystiq: "Adding new content to the massive open world of Los Perdidos is a major undertaking, and to ensure we provide the best possible experience for players, we are putting a few additional weeks of polish and testing into the episode before it's released."

Putting players in control of Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane, who is on a mission to capture the missing president of the United States, the DLC is the first in a four-part series of game add-ons collectively titled Untold Stories of Los Perdidos.

Operation Broken Eagle will cost $9.99 standalone, with European pricing yet to be confirmed. Follow-up DLC packs titled Fallen Angel, Chaos Rising, and The Last Agent are also scheduled to launch in 2014.

All four Untold Stories of Los Perdidos episodes can be pre-purchased at a discounted rate as part of the Dead Rising 3 season pass.

A Dead Rising 3 demo is now available on Xbox One. The free trial can only be played for 20 minutes and only twice per Gamertag.
