Dragon Age: Inquisition's storyline in playable state, new screenshots released

"Holiday Build" heading home with BioWare staff for testing

Dragon Age: Inquisition's main storyline is playable from beginning to end in a "Holiday Build" going home with BioWare employees over the break, executive producer Mark Darrah said.

EA also released several new screenshots of the fantasy RPG, which you can see below.

Darrah detailed the build's priorities in an update to the BioWare Blog, which include getting all of the gameplay systems working together and back-end technology secured. He also included several images of the game's areas of development.

"Effectively, they are builds we create around the holiday break that are packaged in a way that allows the team, and other parts of BioWare, to play the game in as complete of a state as we can get it," Darrah said.

Thirty minutes of off-screen footage of Dragon Age: Inquisition leaked in November, and we saw a vast world with a single area larger than all of Dragon Age II combined in our latest preview.

The game is still planned for release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One in Fall 2014.
