Developed by United Front Games and published by Square Enix, Sleeping Dogs is an open-world action game that casts players as Wei Shen, an undercover cop that infiltrates the Sun On Yee triad group, but soon finds the line between criminal and law enforcer blurred and his loyalties tested.
In our Sleeping Dogs review we called the it "one of the best open-world games in years".
"For a team who's never made a game like this before, it's an incredible achievement," said our reviewer of United Front's effort, "it lacks that pristine GTA polish, sure, but it makes up for it with its sense of humour, compelling story, and fun mission design... rough around the edges, but an enjoyable sandbox backed up by a great story and brutal combat."
According to Larry Hryb, Microsoft's director of programming, Square Enix's Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will also become available for free to Xbox Live subscribers from January 16.
Both these deals apply to all eligible countries, from the UK to the US.
In our Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light review, We called the game "a retro-inspired shooter that's small in scale but big in entertainment".
