Mirror's Edge writer Rhianna Pratchett is not involved with EA's reboot of the free-running first-person game, Pratchett stated on Tuesday.
The writer, who since led work on Tomb Raider's script, responded to questions about the new game on Twitter.
"It's really lovely that people care to ask whether I'm involved with Mirror's Edge 2, but I'm not and wasn't asked," she tweeted. "By all accounts it's a new team on it, so go with God, I say. Create cool stuff. We always need more of that."
Pratchett said she considered herself a casualty of Mirror's Edge 1's development process, as its story was poorly received. She explained that she came onto the project later on its development and her script was "hacked up" thanks in part to a decision to remove main character Faith's in-level dialog.
Pratchett pointed fans toward the Mirror's Edge DC Comic which she wrote, and which hewed closer to her narrative vision for the game.
