Ubisoft has confirmed UK pricing details for its Far Cry The Wild Expedition compilation, and confirmed a Far Cry Classic release date on consoles.
The four-game Expedition pack will be available in the UK from February 14, 2014 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC for £29.99. The publisher has confirmed a US release date of February 11 priced at $39.99.
In addition to the retail release, Far Cry Classic will be available from February 12 as a standalone downloadable title on Xbox Live and PSN for £7.99. There's no news on US pricing currently.
The compilation product was first revealed in Ubisoft's release schedule, which is distributed to press, earlier this week.
It seems that the North American version of the compilation will be PlayStation 3 exclusive.
The Far Cry series debuted on PC in 2004 before making the jump to Xbox in 2005. It has subsequently appeared on multiple platforms, reaching a commercial highpoint with November 2012's Far Cry 3.
The game sold six million copies in the financial year ended March 2013, making it "another major" Ubisoft franchise, according to the publisher's CEO, Yves Guillemot, and ensuring that a sequel is on the cards.
In July 2013, Ubisoft senior vice president of marketing and sales Tony Key said: "We're totally psyched from [Far Cry 3]. It's a great brand, and now it's got the recognition it deserves, so we're clearly going to make another one: more on that soon."
